Sauna for Better Sleep

In today's fast-paced world full of stressful situations, more and more people are struggling with insomnia. Yet sleep plays a key role in our regeneration, mental well-being, and immunity. When we have too little of it, we feel irritable, low on energy, stressed, and more prone to illness.

You may have already tried classic advice – a cooler room, regular exercise, or limiting screens before bed. But if you still wake up feeling unrested and don't want to immediately reach for sleeping pills, try the sauna – ideally 60 to 90 minutes before bedtime. Just one visit a week can bring surprising relief.

Sauna bathing helps the body release tension, slow the mind, and induce a feeling of deep calm. Moreover, during your time in the sauna, the body naturally starts to produce melatonin, a hormone that regulates the sleep cycle. Thanks to it, we wake up refreshed and rested after a night.

However, it's not just important that you go to the sauna – it also matters how the entire sauna ritual proceeds. Ideally, indulge in four sauna cycles, which always consist of three parts: time in the sauna, cooling down, and subsequent relaxation. In the relaxation room, you should relax for at least as long as you were in the sauna. Throughout the entire process, also remember to drink regularly to prevent dehydration.

For even more intense calming, you can also use essential oils, which affect the senses and the nervous system. In our herbal sauna, we use, for example, lavender or lemon balm – scents that evoke feelings of safety, relaxation, and prepare the body for a peaceful sleep.

Whether you struggle with falling asleep, frequent awakenings, or simply desire deeper rest, a visit to the sauna can be the ideal evening ritual. Your body will thank you – and you will finally enjoy the sleep you deserve.

In addition, in the upper level of the centre is a bar, where guests can freshen themselves up by enjoying our authentic Japanese tea or fresh juices.
